The price was $108 total, with no incidental fees, and for that I’d give the place an 8 out of 10. The photos matched the description, it was fairly clean, and the staff were very accommodating. It could’ve been cleaned better, but it was definitely not the worst place I’ve stayed. I’ll probably come back whenever I’m working up here, since the other places nearby seem either dirty or overpriced. I’d read the bad reviews and was discouraged because I’ve had rough stays before. But the manager wasn’t rude at all. He let us look around the room and check for bedbugs before asking for ID or payment, then handed us a key and told us to go ahead. It’s motel clean, not “eat off the floor” clean, if you know what I mean. I’ve stayed at name brand motels like red roof that were filthy for $200, so this was a much better deal. The guy at the desk didn’t need perfect English to be helpful. Complaining about that seemed unfair, since English isn’t everyone’s first language. Honestly, the place could be better, but it was accommodating and a good value.

That stale cigarette smell mixed with air freshener was rough. The whole place made me feel like something was crawling over me. I only stayed because it was late and there were hardly any other options around. I couldn’t wait to get out.

The bathroom was awful. Mold and grime covered the tub, the shower curtain was moldy, and the toilet wouldn’t flush, even though they’d booked us into the room. The mirror was streaked and had toothpaste grime left by other guests. Towels felt like sandpaper, and the bed sagged with pillows as flat as pancakes. The room smelled musty and run down. Dirt covered the remote and phone, the drapes were falling off their track because the hooks were broken, and the window came out of its pane when I tried to lock it. The door was grimy, chipped, and dented, with just one lock on a loose, wobbly knob and no deadbolt or chain. There was black grime beside the door and on the ceiling that hadn’t been cleaned or painted over. Maybe it was black mold. The whole room needs paint and smelled terrible. There was grime running down the walls, cobwebs along the ceiling and in every corner, and hair, dust, and who knows what else all over the floor. Given the rest of the room, I doubt the sheets and blankets were clean. They charged $150 a night, and the musty TV stand even had a note saying, “Tips are appreciated.” I’d never recommend this place to anyone.

The room was basic and clean, and the owners or managers took great care of me. It’s an old motel that hasn’t been updated, but I felt safe, and it has window A/C. The location works well for getting to Hudson over the bridge.

The room was small but decent for a motel in the middle of nowhere. We weren’t expecting anything five-star. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the blankets kept us warm, and it was fairly clean, though the bathroom sink could’ve been wiped down better. It was better than a lot of motels we’ve stayed in while touring with our band. We had a good stay and would come back. The man at the front desk was incredibly nice, and since we were performing that night at The Avalon Lounge for Hororteria, he let us check out an hour later at no charge. The online rates looked a little high to me, so I called the main office and got a much better price from an employee.
