We only stayed a few hours. The bathroom lights wouldn’t come on, and there were bugs and stains on the wall. The sheets had blood on them and holes, but when I went to the front desk, the woman said she couldn’t do anything. We couldn’t get a refund, even after nearly catching an STD.

The grounds were filthy, the beds uncomfortable, and there was barely any water pressure. At least there were no bed bugs. Inside was gross too. The curtains had brown marks that looked like blood, the bedding had holes and stains, the toilet had spots, and the floors were smeared. The glass hadn’t been wiped, and no surfaces seemed dusted or cleaned after the previous guests. People were loud, and they somehow don’t allow any dogs, even though that’s what Red Roof is known for. Only consider it if this is really all you can budget.

The room was pretty beat up. There was dirt on the floor and dust and dirt on the ceiling. The coverlet had at least 20 holes, the sheets felt rough, and the pillows were thin. We got just two small towels. At check-in late at night, the attendant was very hard to hear. The room wasn’t filthy, but it wasn’t properly clean either.

We asked to switch rooms, thinking maybe we’d just gotten unlucky, but the second one was just as bad. The online photos were nowhere near what we found. We took pictures and asked for a refund because the room felt unsafe and unfit to stay in. Management only offered one night back, despite the cleanliness and health issues. The first room was so filthy that I wanted to leave as soon as I walked in. Grime covered every surface, the floors were visibly dirty, and the bedding had stains and human hair. It didn’t look like anything had been cleaned between guests. There were bugs too, and the furniture, walls, and fixtures were all worn and dirty. Even the key cards barely worked. The whole stay was stressful and disgusting. I’ve never had a hotel room make me feel like leaving immediately before. I wouldn’t want anyone to have to stay in conditions like these, and I’d tell people to look elsewhere unless they’re comfortable taking a risk with their health.
