Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Cedar Rapids Airport, IA

The rooms are clean, and I felt safe both inside and outside. Rates are very reasonable for the area, and the staff have always been helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping gets a 100/10 from me. There’s also a gym, a pool, and a fantastic free breakfast. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and motels around Cedar Rapids, and this is the best one I’ve tried.

The suite we paid for was tiny, smaller than our bedroom at home, and it looked extremely old, like it hadn't been updated in ages. The bathroom lock was broken. They also told us by phone that there was a hot tub, but there isn't one, just a pool. They said they'd accept cash, then didn't. I wouldn't book here. It was the most horrible hotel I've stayed in, and I expect the manager will post an apology later without doing anything about it.

The nearby construction made the place really busy, but the room was clean and the woman at the desk was super friendly. The bed was a little firmer than I like, though it was still a good choice.

Breakfast was impressive, and I appreciated having exercise equipment. The staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be. We were there during a snowstorm, though, and the heater kept blowing cold air on and off. Turning it off didn't stop it, and I unplugged it because the fan was so loud while we slept. I could see the outlet was burned. The bathroom also made a constant noise, like gremlins playing with a circular saw.
