Center Lovell Inn

We could see the White Mountains from the inn, though it's about 20 miles from Conway and North Conway, the usual access points for the Park. Rose had us pick a breakfast time and said 8 am was fine, but we waited 40 minutes before any food came out. The bed was so hard that I tried the carpeted floor instead. After a nearly sleepless night, I finally nodded off, then woke an hour later when another guest slammed the outside door, just 5 feet from our room. Apparently most guests stay in a different building, not the 1803 mansion, and that other building has no historic interest.

That fresh, hot breakfast each morning was my favorite part. Rose is a fantastic cook, and she really goes out of her way to make your stay feel just right. My fiancé and I loved our stay at the Center Lovell Inn. Our room was charming and lovely, with a clean bathroom, lots of towels, everything we needed, and a gorgeous view. It made for a quiet, scenic, comfortable getaway on the Maine and New Hampshire border. We’ll be back!

The room had plenty of space, the bathroom was well stocked, and the beds were super comfortable. Rose made us feel at home and did all she could to ensure we were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of sweet or savory. We loved our stay at the CLI and would definitely return if we're back in the area.

What a huge disappointment. There was no kitchen or food, and the nearest place to eat was 20 miles away. The dark common rooms needed cleaning, the grounds needed care, and the property was in drastic need of repairs and attention.
