We expected a clean, comfortable place for the family, but the problems showed up as soon as we got to our room. There was a used rubber on the floor beside the bed, which was disturbing and made it clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or inspected. Other family members traveling with us had to switch rooms because theirs smelled strongly of urine. After a long travel day, repacking and moving was a major inconvenience that basic housekeeping should have prevented. The staff apologized and moved us, but the cleanliness problems across several rooms point to a bigger issue with maintenance and quality control. A hotel should provide a hygienic, safe space for families, and this one didn’t. I hope management takes the cleaning issues seriously and improves things. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, clean stay.

Kayla was welcoming and friendly when I checked in, but the new desk worker the next morning wasn’t as friendly and couldn’t fix the coffee situation. There was no coffee available until breakfast was served. The breakfast itself was decent. In the room, the desk lamp didn’t work and the bed made a noise when I sat down, though I was otherwise comfortable.

We needed a room after a fire at our apartment complex, while we waited to move to another unit. At check-in, the man at the desk only briefly explained the pet policy and didn’t tell us about the strict guest and roommate rules. After work, a man in regular clothes and a hat stopped me in the hall, asked if I had a room, then which room. I felt alarmed and asked whether he worked there. He said he was the owner, and I told him the room number. I joked that he should have said he was the owner first, since otherwise he was a random man asking a woman which room she was in. Soon after, he came to our door with the desk woman, knocking and calling out “maintenance.” When I opened up, he more or less demanded to know why I was there, who booked the room, and asked for my ID. I was fine showing it and confirmed it was booked under my husband’s name. I also explained we hadn’t been told the policy, but the owner was rude and cut me off. I called my husband, and he confirmed what I said. The owner then threatened to have me escorted off the property if the cameras showed his employee explaining the policy at check-in, even though we’d already said that didn’t happen. He never followed up or apologized for his employee’s failure or for how uncomfortable he made us. He needs to be more professional and approach this like a business owner instead of acting with a 15 year old boy’s wounded ego. We won’t return to that dusty, musty hotel. It was a very disappointing stay, and they came to our door smelling like weed, which was crazy.

Ms. Arletta is especially memorable because she treats guests as people rather than room numbers, and that personal touch matters after a long day. I’ve stayed here many times, and the staff are consistently professional. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the amenities are reliably nice. This has become my go-to in Greensboro because of the staff and the quality of the hotel. Highly recommended.
