Homewood Suites Allentown Bethlehem Center Valley

Everyone we encountered, from the front desk to breakfast and guest services, seemed happy to be there. They were smiling and willing to go a little further for guests, and the management team clearly has things running well. We’ve stayed at plenty of Hilton properties, and this was our best experience with the chain so far. Thanks for a great stay.

Breakfast was a real standout. Five people were working, all on top of their jobs, polite, and genuinely friendly. Then, a little after 11:30 pm, we stopped by the lobby bar while the bartender was closing up. She was happy to make us two drinks, not just going through the motions. Places at this price usually have decent rooms and amenities, but the employees made this stay special. We don’t normally choose Hiltons, though this experience has us open to switching.

The location worked well for us, close to shops and restaurants and an easy stop off our route. The area felt safe, too. Our room was roomy and spotless, with nice linens and especially comfortable pillows. Breakfast had a big selection and one of the best omelet stations we’ve had. The staff were lovely and helpful.

On the second night of my three-day stay, I woke to someone trying my door. This was no mistaken guest. They had a working key and managed to partly open the door. The inside deadbolt was the only thing that stopped them from coming in while I was asleep. The noise and adrenaline wrecked my night, and I felt unsafe for the rest of the trip. I can only guess whether the front desk made a serious mistake or the keycards weren’t properly audited, but either way, this was inexcusable. Guest safety and privacy are management’s responsibility, and this property failed badly. I expected professional hospitality and instead couldn’t sleep after this frightening breach. If you want to feel safe and get a peaceful night, stay elsewhere. I won’t return, and I’ll be escalating this matter.
