Hampton Inn & Suites Center

The carpet was so old and sticky that we wore flip-flops from the tub to the bed. The A/C worked pretty well and the beds were soft, but the whole hotel smelled like a flower nursery. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and there was absolutely no signal. The cleaning staff just walked into our room without knocking or checking for the do not disturb sign hanging on the door. The Holiday located right behind this hotel may be a better choice.

We had trouble parking at one point, though I’m not sure if there was a convention going on. Twice, the cleaning crew came into our room without knocking, once before checkout time. There was no cell service at all. The room floor was nasty enough that I had to wear shoes, and the third floor smelled like an oilfield. The tub stopper leaked, too.

Bugs were everywhere, and I woke up with ants all over the bed. When I went to the front desk to ask for another room, they didn’t seem surprised or show any sympathy that I had bites all over my arms. The elevators smelled dank and musty. The appliances were cheap and so loud that a normal person couldn’t sleep. This hotel is disgusting.

The one thing I missed was an EV charging station. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, the service was great, and breakfast was good. When there was no conditioner in the room, they fixed it quickly.
