We only lasted two days before leaving for somewhere else. The room was dirty and smelled bad, including the microwave, where old food had been sitting for who knows how long. Staff were unfriendly, and when I spilled soda on the bed, they made a fuss about replacing the sheets. The replacements didn't even fit. They also did nothing to accommodate us over the microwave, and just got ruder. Breakfast was three kinds of cereal, tiny muffins, and coffee. Horrible place. I definitely won't stay again.

Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. I'd paid online, so all I had to do when I arrived was leave a deposit. The room was clean, nice, and spacious, with plenty of room for my son to run around, and the bed was comfortable too. It was a great first stay for me. Thank you, Howard Johnson!

I was passing through and stayed one night at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Modesto Ceres. There were some good points and some drawbacks, so I'm still unsure whether I'd choose it again. Overall, it was okay.

The room was really clean, and customer service was great. It's also not far from the main highway.

We had to deal with plumbing problems for days, with the toilet, sink, and shower all clogged. The woman at the front desk was also nosy. My kids went to buy a soda and she started asking if they stayed there and what room they were in. The owner, a tall older man with glasses, was peeking through my window while my kids and girlfriend were sitting on the bed. Then he kicked us out, saying there was too much traffic. He's a weirdo who likes wearing Disguises and spying on people. I'm done with this place. I don't recommend it. The place next door, micro hotel, is much cheaper and way, way better. Trust me.
