The whole hotel smelled of marijuana, and a rude woman knocked on my door accusing me of smoking in the room. I told her to come in and see that I wasn’t smoking, but she didn’t apologize. The staff showed no understanding of customer service. At check-in, they photocopied my credit card. When I questioned it, they said their system couldn’t save the card, so the copy would stay in the GM’s office. I reluctantly agreed, but that seemed illegal and created an opportunity for someone to steal my information. I contacted local authorities about possible credit card fraud and am watching my statement closely. I stay in hotels 250 nights a year, and this was by far the worst treatment I’ve had.
