Comfort Suites Dulles Airport

The bed was really comfortable, but the room got too warm because the AC and heater weren’t working. They’re remodeling, and our carpet had been replaced with fake wood flooring. They’d also left a nail behind from the trim they removed.

My 77-year-old mother came to town for a craft show at the Dulles Expo Center and had booked and paid for her stay well in advance, from 11/06/2025 to 11/09/2025. Things were fine until she returned around 8 p.m. on 11/08, ready to eat and go to bed. Her key still opened her room, but all her belongings were gone. At the desk, she was told she’d been checked out and her things were locked in the office. The manager, reached by the desk employee, said she’d have to pay for another night to get them back or take them and leave. She spent over an hour arguing and showing the reservation on her phone before they put her back in the system. Her things had been tossed into a trash bag, including her pill box, and two pills were missing. She has blood pressure and seizure medication in there. She collected her belongings and stayed through Sunday morning, checking out as planned. She’s been a Privileges member for 10 years and stays here every year. We waited for her rewards points and survey, but neither arrived. Corporate said she was marked as a no-show for the stay she had completed, so she got no points or survey. It felt like they were trying to avoid the fallout from their own mistake. This was a terrible way to handle a situation they created, especially with an elderly woman alone, far from home and exhausted after working all day at the show. She was distraught when she called me, afraid she’d have nowhere to stay late at night in an unfamiliar area. Absolutely abhorrent.

They’ve just redone the parking, and the rooms and beds are being upgraded too. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Azuryna. She goes above and beyond and is funny as hell. This is already a nice hotel, and I’ll definitely be back.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and this is a very nice hotel. The staff are great, especially Azuryna. She’s a sweetheart and really makes an effort to see that you’re happy with your stay.
