Sound from neighboring rooms carried through the doors and cabinets, though it wasn’t a major problem. The elevator was also a little hard to find and felt older than the rest of the clean, working property. I appreciated that the front desk team was kind, welcoming, and professional, and that my late checkout request was honored. They didn’t acknowledge my Elite status, though. Before arriving, I used chat and got a prompt, thoughtful reply saying an upgrade would be considered based on availability. I appreciated the response as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, even though I wasn’t upgraded at check-in. The explanation mentioned a newer system, which left me curious, but I understand that operations and availability can vary. The rooms looked recently renovated, with a modern, clean feel that made them comfortable during my stay. Dulles is close by, which is handy for airport travelers, though I wasn’t flying through it myself. Overall, it’s a well-kept, modern, comfortable place with courteous staff. More consistency in communication and the guest experience could make it even better.

I was in one of the newly renovated rooms, which was very nice and clean, with a good walk-in shower and plenty of accessible outlets, including AC and USB. The hotel is updating rooms in one small section right now. It’s only a quick ride from Dulles airport, and I’ll stay here again next time I’m back there.

The housekeeper yelling loudly on the phone disturbed my rest twice, first in Room 118 and again today in Room 116. Guests need a quiet, comfortable room, and I hope management deals with this so it doesn’t happen to others. The reservation wasn’t under my name, but the focus on finding out who I am says a lot about where we stand. I moved to the Wingate hotel across from you and had a much better stay. I’m very disappointed with Marriott.

We paid $164 for a suite with room for five, while nearby hotels were asking over $200 for less space. The room had already been refreshed, a nice extra, and everything was clean. We were on the second floor right above the renovation work, but woke up naturally at 8:30 a.m. The noise was minimal, even when we were awake. I was nervous before arriving and don’t usually review Courtyard properties, but I’ve stayed at countless Marriott hotels as a Lifetime Titanium Elite member, so I have plenty to compare it with. I wish we’d been told about the renovations before booking. Still, they were manageable, and the staff member I briefly met at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I’d absolutely stay again. Don’t over-index on the negative reviews.
