Days Inn by Wyndham Charles Town

I left after one night of a two-night booking. I was too exhausted to find another place, but even with fresh sheets, I had to sleep in extra clothes so my skin wouldn’t touch the bed. I checked in late and immediately switched rooms because the first was covered in hair. The next was no better: hair on the sheets and pillows, between the mattress and headboard, and even inside the fridge. The headboard had greasy fingerprints and smears, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. This place was filthy and unhygienic, with no apparent cleanliness standards. I also noticed two listings for the same motel on booking sites. One uses a daylight photo and is cheaper, while the other has a night photo with the lights on that makes the building look better, despite both showing the same trashy place. Don’t waste your money here. Stay away.

We drove to Winchester and found a hotel at the same price that was much nicer. We’d booked this place from out of town without knowing what to expect, and my boyfriend had accidentally reserved a smoking room. We didn’t even know that was still a thing. The first room smelled strongly of cigarettes and looked dirty. The front desk explained the booking and moved us, but the second room was also a smoking room and even filthier. The floor seemed to have more stains and grime than carpet, both lamps were covered in yellow stains, and the curtains were filthy. When I pulled back the blanket, I saw blood stains. That was enough, so we asked for a refund. They wanted to move us again to a real non-smoking room, but I said the rooms were disgusting and repeated that I wanted my money back. They brushed off the condition by saying the smoking rooms get trashed. When I asked again, they said the manager had left for the day and wouldn’t be back until Monday. I asked them to leave a note about what happened and my refund request. We left without a refund. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place needs to clean up the biohazards it calls rooms.

We love staying at the Days Inn. The owner and staff are so nice and make us feel welcome. Our room was clean, and its air conditioner was very quiet. Breakfast was outstanding, and the location was perfect. Love this place.

The management was very nice, and it was a pretty quiet stay. Breakfast tasted great; the sheets and towels were clean, and the towels were thick and wonderful. The room itself was clean and the water was hot. The main thing the rooms need is fresh paint. I enjoyed my stay, thank you.
