I usually don’t review chains, but the especially nasty reviews about days inn caught my eye, so here’s my two cents. My room was spotless, the staff were courteous, and breakfast was pretty good. The fridge, microwave, and coffee machine were clean and up to date, the linen was fresh, and the room was well heated. There’s ample parking, even for big rigs, and the hotel sits right off i40. It’s also very economical for an overnight stop on a long trip. Excessive trolling of businesses does no one any good. Days Inn was clean and fresh, and worked perfectly for an efficient overnight stay. Thanks to the staff!

I read the recent reviews before booking, and they were mixed, with complaints about things not working, customer service, and roaches. I took a chance and had a good night’s rest at a competitive price. The front desk was helpful, quick, and efficient. My room was neat, clean, smelled good, and the bed was soft and really comfortable, even though I’m usually picky. The heater kept me toasty all night. I was in a back unit away from the highway, and couldn’t hear traffic. I only needed a few hours’ sleep before driving again, so I can’t say whether the TV or shower water worked. The hotel is conveniently right off the highway. There are a few refrigerators and snacks in the lobby for purchase, plus wine and alcohol. The pet fee was $15. Nearby, there are restaurants, a Starbucks, and a gas station right next door. Based on my room, I’d stay again and hope for the same experience.

I’ve stayed here three times in the past two months, and enjoyed it each time. It’s a great halfway stop between New Jersey and Tennessee on my drive. The rooms have been clean, the staff nice, and I have nothing bad to say. Some of the negative reviews strike me as strange. It’s right off the highway, easy to get back on, and works well when I just need sleep during a 14-hour drive. Sure, it’s not the Ritz-Carlton, but they’ve got the basics right for me. I’ll keep staying here when I’m driving from TN to visit family.

The staff were nice, and the location right off 81 is convenient. This is a bargain hotel that’s seen better days. We stayed in the wing behind the main building and couldn’t find an elevator there, so anyone needing accessible access should ask for a first-floor room. Our room seemed to have been cleaned after the previous guest, but not since. There were spiderwebs, a couple of spiders in the tub, and bits of trash elsewhere. Nothing felt unsanitary, but we wouldn’t stay here again if we passed through.

Check-in was easy because the hotel texted me before I arrived, so I could finish everything ahead of time. The lobby looked nice, with its half-spiral stairs, but be careful going up to the second floor. Breakfast was disappointing. It’s continental, so don’t expect much, and they don’t allow you to take food out of the breakfast area.
