The Lindy Renaissance Charleston Hotel

Richard was amazing, so warm and welcoming, and the four o’clock drinks with the charcuterie and appetizers were a nice touch for a hotel at this level. We’ve rarely had a bad experience with staff as Titanium guests, but Dana made us feel like a bother during complimentary drink time. We noticed her treating the other guests the same way, so we wouldn’t choose her as our concierge. We liked the rooms and the location, but preferred the breakfast, drinks, and appetizers at the Bohemian across the street. Keep an eye out for Richard, he’s fantastic.

The valet team were consistently kind and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable, with a modern, well-equipped bathroom. We also appreciated the extras covered by the resort fee, especially the free Charleston Museum tickets. Breakfast was the one letdown. It was slow and seemed short-staffed, though it was Christmas Eve. The staff did eventually make things right, but the start wasn’t very accommodating. It didn’t spoil the stay, just took a little shine off it. The Lindy Renaissance is well placed for the city and its main sights, and offers the full service hotel experience. I’d recommend it and would consider staying again.

Brent, the bellman, was so friendly and helpful, and Tommy took great care with the details and service at breakfast. We enjoyed drinks at the bar too, where the bartenders were terrific. The hotel is beautiful, with well equipped rooms and pleasant decor. Thanks for another lovely Christmas Eve Eve staycation in downtown Charleston!

The sax player on Friday night was a lovely touch. We also enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, impeccable service, clean rooms, and very comfortable bed. It’s close to King St. My only reason for taking off a star is that the bathrooms were smaller than I prefer.
