The Charleston Place

Huy in the Club Lounge deserves special mention. His kindness and attentiveness stood out, and he anticipated what we needed while greeting us with a sincere smile. It was rare to meet someone so devoted to making guests comfortable and appreciated. The Charleston Place is a beautiful hotel, but its people, especially team members like Huy, made it unforgettable. Every staff member made us feel welcome and valued, with warmth, care, and professionalism that lifted the whole stay. We'd return in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting a memorable visit.

The service was the best I've experienced in a large hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, made an effort to remember names, and handled requests well. Rudy in the dining room greeted us by name at breakfast and remembered what we liked to eat and drink. Jessie looked after us "old folks" in the lively, busy bar, and Joseph at the front desk patiently printed our morning crossword puzzles every day. The rest of the team were outstanding too. We had a lovely, spacious room in the newly renovated section, with a Juliet balcony overlooking Market Street. Traffic on that block wasn't too busy, though we heard horses' hooves as carriages took tourists around the city. The hotel is beautiful and well located near Charleston's main attractions. A wonderful trip to a delightful city and hotel. Thank you!

The location worked perfectly for our trip to enjoy King Street and the College of Charleston, and the shopping and dining nearby were so convenient. The room was clean, updated, and comfortable. Staff throughout the hotel were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, making sure we were looked after. Absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny. Southern hospitality at its finest. Thank you!

We had lunch at the restaurant, where Hal was an excellent, classy server and Alicia was a very sweet hostess. The food was wonderful and the service top notch. Mike Henry kept checking in and helping with anything we needed, making sure everything was right. Frank was kind and informative when he escorted us to our rooms with our luggage, both times. At the front desk, Alessandro made our stay exceptional. We asked to switch rooms for a bathtub, and he found us an amazing room with a bubble bath and wine ready for me. He became our go-to person throughout the visit. The Charlston Place was the most amazing place I've stayed. We were greeted before we even turned into the driveway. I highly recommend The Charleston Place in the Charlston area.
