Weathervane Terrace Inn and Suites

I've paid thousands to stay here, and for 2 weeks and 4 days, 18 days in all, there has been no working water. No showers, no normal living conditions, just the same promise every day that it would be fixed tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went again and again, and there's still no solution or accountability. When I demanded a real explanation for why it still wasn't fixed, an employee told me to “shut up” and threatened to call the cops. For asking why there's no water in a place I'm paying to stay? That's intimidation and flat-out disrespect, not customer service. Water is the bare minimum for a hotel, and threatening a paying guest instead of fixing it says everything. Unacceptable. Think twice before staying here.

Almost a week later, we still have no hot water, and the restoration date keeps being pushed back without anyone telling us. Communication has been nonexistent and service is extremely poor. A pipe burst on the third floor at 4 a.m. and wasn't found until around 11 a.m., knocking out the Wi-Fi. When we called the front desk to ask what was going on, they told us about the pipe but didn't say we'd also lose hot water. Maintenance has been great and the views are extraordinary, but management seriously needs to hire different staff. I wouldn't recommend staying here long term, especially in winter.

My stay included a few days with a hot water issue, but Weathervane compensated me generously. I appreciate that they were willing to make things right. One of the best hotels in Charlevoix!

Our 46th anniversary could have been a total bust. We missed out on the lake view, fireplace, and in-room jacuzzi, but made the best of it, and the service at Hotel Earl was top notch. Hotel Earl was clean and new, with a good elevator, so stay there instead of Weathervane. Before booking, we contacted Weathervane twice to confirm there was an elevator and were told yes, even though several reviews said there wasn't one. I had just had a knee replacement, so an elevator was imperative since our room was on the third floor. I read more bad reviews after booking, and when we arrived, the elevator wasn't working. The place looked run down, so we went to Hotel Earl.
