Brookwood Inn

There were two roaches within the first half hour. I got my things off the floor and back into my vehicle fast. The room smelled strongly of smoke when I went in, after I’d rented it for seven days. The location is awful and the place looks like a motel for junkies. If you like bugs or filth, this is the motel for you. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

I’ll rent here again. OG Chris keeps watch as security around the clock, with zero tolerance for disturbances and an eagle eye on your property. Jennifer is elegant and gives instant service. Roxana, Daniela, and the young slim girl with short brown hair do lovely room cleaning. DEVEN, the property manager, replaced my TV, fridge, and garbage bins and helped me on three different occasions.

For $85, I can’t complain too much. We were only there for a few hours because of our travel plans. The area felt a bit sketchy, though there was a security golf cart out front. I didn’t see a security person. The room was relatively clean and the bathroom looked recently remodeled. There was a lingering smoke smell, not too heavy, and body spray helped. The mini fridge was so loud we had to unplug it to sleep. The furniture could use an update, but it seems more like a weekly rate hotel than a nightly place.

My stay at Brookwood Inn felt like a nightmare, like being in an episode of The Walking Dead. I saw people who seemed to be drug users hanging around with the security guard on duty, and the guard kept giving my girlfriend dirty looks. In a place that feels this unsafe, you’d hope you could count on security, but to me he seemed just as bad as the zombies wandering around the property.
