I was ready to leave by checkout the next day. I stayed one night on June 21st, 2025, and nearly missed the hotel on arrival because its small temporary sign on the fence was hard to see. The friendly front desk reassured me the rooms were nice and up to date, but the $150 damage fee wasn't mentioned in the description. Finding out at check-in felt alarming and unprofessional. The rooms were nicely set up and updated, but there was a bad smell throughout the hotel and in the rooms. I had to keep the bathroom door closed to reduce it. The pool and breakfast shown on the website weren't available because of renovations, also undisclosed when I booked. Outside, branches and tree limbs were scattered around, which I thought could be dangerous and cause accidents. The convenience store across the street seemed sketchy, with loud music outside and an armed security guard on duty at night. They were cleaning during operating hours with nasty, brown, smelly water. I believe the hotel will look more presentable when the renovations are complete, but this should be disclosed before people book and pay, especially when traveling far and needing a break.

My unplanned overnight layover turned out much more pleasant because the hotel manager and staff were so friendly. The main lobby was being renovated, so the front desk was set up in a hotel room. Work was still underway, and one cabinet in my room hadn't been fully put together. There was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the shower, though the shower itself was huge. A smoke detector was missing, leaving wiring exposed. Aside from those issues, the room was very clean. Give it a few months and this place should be in shape.

For about $100 a night near the airport, I got a spacious suite with two rooms, a full kitchenette stocked with pots, pans and utensils, and a nearly full-size fridge and freezer. There was a separate living area and private bedroom, each with a flatscreen TV, plus a bathroom with a nice walk-in shower. The modern HVAC controls were easy to use, and everything was clean and comfortable. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and the stay was quiet and restful. I slept great. I was skeptical at first because renovations were underway and the signage was confusing: the hotel name was only on a banner on the construction fence, while the building still had an old sign. The front office was in a converted hotel room during the lobby remodel, which made check-in feel unusual. But the friendly staff explained things and made me feel at home right away. I stayed just one night, and I'd absolutely return next time I'm in Charlotte. Once the renovations are done, I imagine it'll be even better. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable stay near the airport.

The people were courteous, and the room was simple but clean and comfortable. The hard part is arriving while major construction is underway: the main entrance is shut, with no clear directions to the temporary one. There’s no shop, drinks, food, or luggage help, and dust and exposed drywall are everywhere. At full price, that’s a lot to overlook. Maybe I’ll come back once the work is done.

The rooms were roomy, and the staff was polite, but the renovation wasn’t mentioned when I booked. Only the TV in the front room worked. They said maintenance would come by, but nobody did, and then there was no hot water in the morning. That’s why I didn’t stay another night.
