When I visited Mint 425, the property looked new and promising, but my interaction with the leasing agent left me disappointed. There was only one agent working, it was near closing, and I hadn’t made an appointment, though I had my ID ready and was prepared to tour a unit. The agent said to come back the next morning because closing was only 15 minutes away. I understood and agreed, but the next day another place called me and I never made it back. Thinking about it now, I’m not sure the agent even remembered me, so the interaction felt impersonal. I didn’t see an apartment or the amenities, so I can’t comment on their quality. Based only on that limited experience, I wouldn’t recommend Mint 425 right now, though other visitors may have a better one.

From the tour through moving in, everything at Mint 425 felt stress-free. Property managers Lashay and Richard made the decision easy for me. I love the lobby and lounge, and I’m happy in my new apartment home.

I’ve been here nearly a year and most of my experience has been really positive. The elevators are the one ongoing problem, and it’s the worst situation I’ve run into at an apartment. I’ve personally received well over 30 emails about them being out of service, under “preventative maintenance,” or reserved for move-ins and move-outs. There are only three, so when one is down and another is booked for much of the day, the whole building is left with just one, and waits can be unreasonable. I know the team isn’t at fault and they do a good job keeping residents updated, but the issue keeps happening. One of the main elevators was out for nearly a month, with several reservations and more outages during that time. It often seems that as soon as one is repaired, another breaks down. This is a shared frustration among residents. There must be some reason they fail so often, and whether the vendor is responsible or not, it may be time to look at other options or temporarily stop reservations for move-ins and move-outs until residents can count on the elevators more consistently, especially those of us who have lived here longer.

Had service again today, and it was so fast I almost kept quiet about it. They're always nice, and I love that they leave a little note so you know they’ve been in your apartment.
