The parking attendants were rude, and this turned what should have been a convenient stay for a Spectrum Center event into a mess. We had a Charlotte Hornets game at 1:00 p.m. and arrived at noon hoping to pay to park. They said the deck was full because they had to clear out everyone from the night before. I still don't understand why that meant they couldn't take my car, especially after I watched about 20 people leave. I ended up paying to park twice, then walking back from another part of the city to the hotel I'd already paid for. If you're coming for an event, you could wind up unable to park there because of something unrelated to your plans. I wish I'd stayed somewhere cheaper and parked elsewhere from the start.

I was there less than 24 hours, checking in at 11:30 a.m. and leaving at 8:30 the next morning, but someone took personal property from my car. Valet is required, and there's hardly room to pull in and unload at your own pace, so the whole arrival feels rushed. My husband tipped when the car was taken and again when it was returned, but that didn't prevent the theft. We filed a police report. The hotel said there are no cameras in the garage, and the valet company isn't affiliated with the hotel. Both of those answers were red flags. Very disappointing.

Breakfast was the standout for me: fresh eggs, fruit, bacon, juice, and coffee, all top quality and nothing like a typical hotel breakfast. I was here on business and stayed in the presidential suite, which really impressed me with its decor and service. The large terrace had a wonderful city view, and having the pool on my floor was so convenient. I had an amazing stay.

I had a great stay, and the staff were kind and respectful even while they seemed overwhelmed. The food was good, everything was very clean, and though my room felt a little older, it was still fine. When I lost an item, the staff helped get it back to me. Marley was especially helpful with arranging shipping for my package, and I really appreciated how considerate everyone was. I'd recommend this for a friends' night away.
