Quality Inn Charlotte Airport

Quiet enough and decent for the price. I didn't see any bed bugs or roaches.

The room was only moderately clean, and there were cigarette holes in the linens. The sheets were still damp, like they hadn't dried all the way. Since it was late, I had no time to find somewhere else, though I nearly canceled my non-refundable booking because of the rough part of town and all the people hanging around the parking lot. One man asked me for money before I could even get into the lobby. In the morning, the housekeepers kept asking for a tip, which I reluctantly gave, and for one of my sodas. They knocked over and over from 10:50 to 10:55 a.m. until I opened the door. Checkout was 11, and I was gone by then. I hate being rushed when I'm not late. This was an absolutely horrible stay.

They charged more than the website price because I had my 13-pound dog and said I needed a special room. Expect $15 to $20, not $10. The room was disgusting: the microwave was gross, the fridge was left ajar, a used condom was hanging out of the trash, and the bathroom nearly made me throw up. The walls were covered in stuff, and it all looked patched together. The door frame and bathroom were a mess, there was a piece of wood wedged behind the toilet, and the bedding didn't seem freshly cleaned. It had cigarette burns even though I'd booked a non-smoking room. I could go on. I can't give this place a star. Avoid it if you can.

We came back after our first one-night stay and canceled our Courtyard Marriott reservations to save some money. The room was clean and quiet, the service was good, and the staff were really nice. The interior isn't perfect, but there were no roaches like some earlier comments said. It had granite counters, an iron, microwave, and fridge. We don't spend much time in the room during the day, so why pay for an expensive place just to sleep? Cracker Barrel is across the street, too.
