I slept well and felt safe here. The hotel is clean and updated, and the staff were helpful and polite. It’s in a good location, near lots of food options, UVA, and Monticello.

The room was comfortable and very clean, though it could’ve used a good vacuuming. Everyone on staff was friendly. There are plenty of places nearby to eat and shop, and UVA’s campus is a quick 10-minute drive away. I’d stay here again!

Bahiam, the night desk attendant, was wonderful. I arrived at 12:30 am after a 12-hour drive with my 3-year-old, only to realize I’d accidentally booked for the following Monday night. She fixed my mistake and made us feel so welcome. She even helped me get milk for a bottle, then was there again in the morning working at the cafe. I made sure to leave her a good gratuity because she’s a gem. Please give her kudos and thank her for her superb hospitality. This Marriott needs more stars.

As a platinum Bonvoy member who spends dozens of nights a year at Marriott hotels, I found this Courtyard decent. The room was spotless, and housekeeping deserves a lot of credit. It was nice, with a big TV and large shower. But the mattress was rock hard, one of the worst I’ve had in two years of hotel stays. The front desk staff member was cold, too: no welcome, no water offered, and no question about which welcome gift we wanted. It’s worth staying if you don’t mind a hard bed or sleep very well. Otherwise, I’m sure there are better options nearby.

We had a ground-floor suite with access to private gardens. It was super quiet and very comfortable. The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. A very nice Marriott location.
