It was the best value in town, though maybe four stars is half a star too generous. The room was neat and clean but a bit aged. The lights were much too bright, there were no wall-mounted shades and no outlets for charging a phone. We nearly had to get a new key made every time we opened the door. Breakfast was just cereal. For a little more, the Key West might be a better option while still offering good value.

The staff were friendly and the rooms clean. I could smoke in the room, and the beer store is right across the street. The only downside was no hot water, but I could tolerate that.

We had great stays on two different weekends and drove nearby national forest roads to see spectacular fall colors. The owners are kind. Take care of our rooms, folks, and Merry Christmas.
