The beds were comfortable, and one man at the desk and another woman went out of their way to help. That was the good part. For the price, the stay was workable, but the interior wasn’t nice. The floor was dirty, the pool was closed for maintenance with nobody working on it, and all but one piece of equipment in the workout room was broken. Breakfast had very few choices. When I asked for fresh towels, Ashley, the woman at the desk, was rude and asked if our used towels had been collected. I didn’t see why that should matter. Then we asked for toilet paper and were told they had none.

The parking lot was cracked and full of large holes, and the painted sidewalk was slippery in the drizzle. We were told to enter at the back because our room was there. The area felt a bit scary too. My husband walked to the nearby restaurant and was stopped twice by people asking if he wanted to buy “blow” or “have a good time.” We didn’t see security in the lot or elsewhere. Inside, the hall smelled strongly of musty old cigarettes, and our non-smoking room had the same stale smell, maybe a little moldy too. The rugs looked old and worn, even if they might have been clean. One overhead bulb was out, the bedside lamp felt greasy and dirty, and the curtains were halfway off their rods. There was a mini fridge, but we found the next morning that it hadn’t been plugged in. The mattress was cheap but adequate for sleeping. We were there for one night, thankfully. Check-in staff were pleasant enough, but didn’t seem very interested in customers. Two women were exchanging information about guests and other business while we waited, with people behind us, perhaps during a shift change. Another couple traveling with us said one of their lights didn’t work, tape was on the bottom of the bathroom door, and they had the same odor problem. I’ve rarely had a worse hotel stay. The posted photos don’t show what the property is actually like. I booked because it was a Days Inn property, then found out it was a franchise under Days Inn, which may explain the condition. Please look elsewhere.

We booked two rooms and found both far below standard. The pool hadn’t been cleaned, the floors and chairs were dirty and stained, and plaster was cracked and falling off the walls. The sheets didn’t even fit the mattresses. We won’t stay here again.

We got our money back and went a couple of blocks up the street to an Americas Best Value Inn. It was clean and the staff were courteous, for just $15 more. I still can’t believe this place is open. I don’t think it’s owned by Wyndham as a Days Inn, so take my advice and stay away. We were driving from Florida back home to Indiana and had planned to stay at the Days Inn in downtown Nashville. After several hours on the road, we were exhausted. My daughter found a Chattanooga Days Inn for under $50, and I thought that sounded great. I’d stayed at Days Inn before and liked the value and cleanliness. The place looked okay on arrival, and I asked for an inside, non-smoking room. When my husband and I went in, I found a cockroach and killed it. The room was unclean, and even though I was tired, I couldn’t rest. An hour later my husband went to the desk to ask for a refund because of the conditions. My daughter had also seen and killed a bug in the bathroom. He didn’t tell me at the time, so I wouldn’t be more alarmed, that there was rat poison in the air conditioning unit. Gross.

I wouldn’t choose this place for a stay.
