The front desk team was top-notch, always ready to help make the stay comfortable. Service was exceptional, and the room was spacious. Breakfast had a wide selection, and the hotel’s close to I-24, so getting onto the highway was easy. It was one of the busiest hotels I’ve seen, but I’d suggest keeping fresh coffee available throughout the day. That’s a small thing, not a complaint.

It was a nice surprise that the outdoor pool was still open in mid-October, and my daughter loved it. We enjoyed the stay otherwise, too. The bedding barely reached the ends of the mattress when nobody was in bed, so we spent the night tugging the covers away from each other. The pillows were too soft.

At 2:30 a.m. I’m still awake in the room, upset that the AC is broken and nobody offered us another room, a portable fan, or anything. My husband went to the front desk and was told the AC would come on after a while, so we went to dinner. When we returned, it still wasn’t working. He asked again, and the same attendant said he’d fixed it remotely and assured us it was taken care of. I woke at 12:30 to a hot, stale room, with the AC silent even though we’d set the fan to run continuously. I’m extremely disappointed with how staff handled this.

It’s a quiet, safe area, with restaurants, Walmart, and gas stations less than five minutes away. Rock City and Ruby Falls are about 10-15 minutes by car, and downtown is around 15 minutes away. The room was quiet and comfortable, with good amenities, working air-conditioning and heat, and a clean bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, parking was plentiful and free, and the fitness room and indoor pool were nice. There’s no safe in the room. I’d stay here again.

The kids really liked the breakfast. Our double room was smaller than the Hampton Inn rooms we’ve had elsewhere in the Southeast. It was clean, but the beds were quite firm, and the pillows seemed old and had lost their shape.
