The Heinsman Guest House

We parked the car for the weekend and walked everywhere, including to the aquarium and for late-night meals. The place is right in the thick of Chattanooga, and the room was super clean. The nearby bathrooms were clean too. We loved our stay, especially meeting the caretakers and their furry friends. Such a cute, amazing place. We'll 100% stay again.

For our first wedding anniversary weekend, my husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Heinsman. It was perfectly situated for the activities we wanted to do. The staff were friendly and hospitable, and both the room and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The room smelled lovely, too. We'll come back for future stays.

We could walk to the bar next door, UTC, which is less than a mile away, and a nice church my boyfriend and I visited. The guesthouse location is perfect. Staff were caring and friendly, and the communal kitchen was there if you wanted to cook. We enjoyed our weekend at this nice hotel/hostel and would book again on another Chattanooga visit.

For what we paid, the stay was worthwhile and made our vacation more affordable. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nicer than a hotel room, and getting in and out was easy. We got the information about the place promptly. There were crackers and water in the lobby, the kitchen was clean, and plenty of reminders asked guests to clean up. I could see coming back with my husband for a getaway. A weekend night with kids may be tough. There's a nearby bar close enough that we heard conversations, and its music rattled our windows all night. There was a lot of smoking on the grounds, not just cigarettes, and it led to a very inappropriate situation with another guest. Quiet hours were posted, but that didn't prevent tap dancing on the ceiling at 3 am. My three-year-old son crawled under the bed while playing and came out covered in dog hair. That's a noticeable side effect of a pet-friendly place. Some things are outside the business's control, and people can be difficult.
