The Crash Pad - An Uncommon Hostel

This is an inexpensive place for a short stop when you're traveling, working overnight, or just passing through the city. Shared rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, and seating are part of the crash pad setup, so it can get noisy with several people using the same spaces. It's meant for a temporary rest, not long-term comfort. If you need a private, quiet hotel-style stay, it may not suit you. For a brief, affordable place to sleep, it does the job.

We picked this place for the short walk to The Signal after a show, and there was plenty to do nearby before and after. It's a quaint little spot, with a clean room and very friendly staff. We loved the fan, too, a nice touch. Just right for an overnight stay if you don't need to pay for all the bells and whistles.

We had a great time and would come back. The suite was perfect, and we liked meeting new people and sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. We visit Chatt often and wanted somewhere more affordable, still within walking distance of bars and restaurants. The location is amazing. There wasn't a TV, but that wasn't a big deal to us.

The full kitchen was a real plus, and sharing the common areas felt comfortable and welcoming. The Crash Pad has a lively, social atmosphere aimed at a younger, hipper crowd, though it never felt like too much. It's not a conventional hotel, which is part of its charm. The location also made it easy to get around Chattanooga. A friendly, convenient place with its own character.
