Suburban Studios Buffalo Airport

Don't stay here. The key machine wasn't working at check-in, and we were told staff would have to bring us to our rooms or we'd need to come back to get keys made. People were hanging around the parking lots and hallways, and the place didn't feel safe. The worst part was finding roaches in our room. The tub couldn't be used, there was obvious black mold along the mirror, and the bathroom door made a loud bang like a gunshot when opened or closed. The smoke detector was disabled, and there was no soap for handwashing or anything else.

Whatever they charge now is too much. The rooms were run down, smelly, and gross, with warped door frames that left gaps. It felt like someone could get into the room without much effort. The bathroom door slid on rails, apparently as a weak attempt at decor, but was loose at the bottom and left a half-inch gap along the wall. There was no handle on the inside, either. At check-in and checkout, nobody was at the desk. The one employee I'd seen also drove the airport shuttle, so if he was called away, you were out of luck. His attitude was the only good part of our stay once he finally had a moment at the desk. No wonder they offer a slightly lower rate if you choose no refund. I'll tell anyone who'll listen not to waste their time or money. I honestly considered sleeping in the car.

The rooms smelled, and there was almost no hot water in the shower. The room had recently been renovated, but paint was splashed all over the washroom and the hallway stench was unbearable. The pillows were dirty. Just book somewhere else. There was no door jam lock notch, only the metal frame. How ghetto.

The breakfast bar was clean and convenient, and the staff were professional. Our room was on the "300" floor, and it was very clean and comfortable. Elzie Jr. at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating. We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we come home to Buffalo to visit.
