We had a really nice stay, and the room was clean with great amenities. The staff made us feel welcome. You could hear people in other rooms through the thin walls, but it didn’t bother us since nobody was noisy at night.

The gardens looked neglected, and the restaurant was closed with no sign it would reopen soon. We’d booked back in April for an August stay, expecting the website’s gardens, on-site dining, and attentive service. Only after arriving did we learn the inn had changed hands two weeks earlier. They had one set of towels per person for our four nights and four coffee pods. The innkeeper showed us to the room and offered to help, but we saw her only once after that. We were charged the full price, including the weekend rate, despite missing amenities. They had two weeks to tell us what had changed, and we should at least have received a discount. Extremely disappointing.

I slept really well in the clean, peaceful room, which was beautifully decorated. The whole lodge has a brilliant idea behind it and feels like a quiet bit of heaven. If you’re after a calm night or a few, I’d recommend Cable Nature Lodge in beautiful Cable, WI. I can’t see how you’d be disappointed.

The room had plenty of space, with dishes, a Kuerig coffee maker, microwave, and fridge with a small freezer. There are nature trails right at the lodge, just right for a morning coffee stroll. The setting is peaceful and cozy, with a romantic feel. It’s close to Cable and even nearer to Rock Lake and the Namakegan single track trail heads. Rookery Pub is right there too, with great dining in a relaxed setting. You can keep it casual at the bar or dress up for the dining room, and they have local brews on tap. On summer Sundays there’s live music outside. The owner’s black lab sometimes greets guests like an old friend. We had such a great time and will be back, though part of me wants to keep Cable Nature Lodge to myself!

Really pleased with our trip. The rooms are cute and quaint, and it’s a very private place. I’m VERY picky about hotel cleanliness, and this was exceptionally clean. We’ll be back!
