Cherokee Inn

We really enjoyed staying here. It was super clean, the staff were amazing, and we liked having a griddle at breakfast so we could make our own eggs and bacon.

I'm glad we stayed several days at the Cherokee Inn. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff were nice as well. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable, with mattresses that felt new. Breakfast was very good. They had the usual hotel options plus a large griddle for making fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns.

We've stayed at this inn for a month during the busy Christmas season two years in a row. It's clean, well kept, safe, and has a family feel. Whenever we had a problem, the staff worked hard to fix it. We planned to come for a third time this year, called to check availability, and were told they had space. We said we'd have our cat with us, and were told that was okay with a pet deposit. After booking, we arrived and were told they don't take cats. We called and spoke to a real person, so why tell us it was allowed? It's a great place to stay in a town with limited hotels and motels. In fact, no one in the area takes cats. We ended up an hour away in Storm Lake.

The rooms renovated over the past few years are clean, and all the amenities worked. I liked the decor, including the new USB-C charger in the nightstand, something I haven't seen at other hotels. Breakfast is a nice change: you cook your own eggs, bacon, and/or sausage. The setup is great, and this is my new go-to.
