When nearby dining didn't work out, Suzie called and said she and Jim were making dinner for us. We'd arrived late Monday afternoon after a very long drive, one Cherry Valley restaurant had closed for the season and the other wasn't open Mondays. Cooperstown wasn't far, but we were too tired, and had been about to get sandwiches at a deli. Back at Limestone Mansion, they served us drinks before a delicious home-cooked meal. Their hospitality went way beyond what we expected from a bed and breakfast. We also had delicious breakfasts each morning and a warm welcome whenever we returned in the evening. Jim and Suzie Donaldson and their son Max gave us a warm welcome, and the period decor is elegant. The guest rooms are very comfortable, with silky, high-thread-count sheets. Limestone Mansion is exactly where I'd stay for a Cooperstown trip.

The cooked breakfast, which was included, was a real treat. Jim, the proprietor, was friendly and always available, and we enjoyed the game room with its variety of games. The house is well cared for and nicely appointed. We had a great visit at the Limestone.

Jim was waiting out front when we arrived, ready to show us around and welcome us. He and Suzie went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and he shared stories and recommendations in the morning. The house is beautiful, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was cozy, and breakfast was to die for, with impressive attention to detail. There are coffee stations on each floor while you wait for sit-down service. It was a wonderful weekend getaway at Limestone Mansion, beyond what we expected. Cooperstown is a quick 20 minutes away, and the views on the drive are hard to beat. Follow Otsego Lake and add a couple minutes. We absolutely recommend it and will be back.

The breakfasts prepared daily by chef Jake were delicious and beautifully presented. Jim and Suzie paid close attention to the details and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Staying at Limestone Mansion B&B felt like stepping back into the late 1800s, with architecture and decor reminiscent of the Gilded Age. It's in gorgeous upstate New York, near Cooperstown, Albany, and Syracuse, and within driving distance of historic spots such as Seneca Falls and Auburn, NY. An exceptional experience.

Jim and suzie were personable and helpful during our stay at this lovely restored mansion in Cherry Valley, NY. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. I'd stay again.
