Staybridge Suites Chesapeake by IHG

Ms. Laura made breakfast a highlight. She was welcoming, kept the area clean, and made sure the food station stayed stocked the whole time breakfast was served. I enjoyed staying here with my family and would come back, hoping check-in goes more smoothly next time. The staff member who checked me in was rude, which was disappointing as an IHG rewards member since check-in is usually much easier. My room also had no shower curtain, and housekeeping hadn’t cleaned the refrigerator. Those room issues were fixed quickly.

Everyone was wonderful except Cory. I asked whether pets could be off leash even though the hotel allows pets, and he answered that the other guest’s dog wouldn’t hurt me. That wasn’t what I was asking. I explained I didn’t want someone’s dog sniffing me or rubbing against me either. I also asked whether he had the pet policy in print. He said no, and that I’d have to talk to management the next day because they weren’t there. Cory mentioned there are no cameras in the hallways, only in selected spots on the first floor. He’d seen the dog walking through the lobby unleashed and seemed unconcerned. Maybe that was because he knew there’d be no camera footage if an incident happened because a pet was off leash.

The pool was clean and relaxing, and breakfast had a wider range of tasty options than I expected. The hostess in the lounge was professional and welcoming to everyone. My suite was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed. When I asked for extra towels, the staff member brought them with a smile and a great attitude. I had a fantastic stay at Staybridge Suites and plan to return to this location next year when I visit Virginia. Thanks for the hospitality, Staybridge.

When I’m in the area for work, I like staying here. There’s a pool and spa, a good fitness center, and laundry on site. The fire pit outside is a nice place to sit in the evening, and the front desk is helpful and accommodating. A good place to stay!
