The Whitehall Hotel, BW Premier Collection

I liked the retro feel here, something you don't see much in Chicago anymore. The hotel is older, but clean and tidy, and my room was spacious with everything I needed. The only real annoyance was that the shower faucet was hard to turn on. Service was adequate, though a bit more friendliness would've been nice. The early check-in option was handy, since you can upload information to the website before arriving. Breakfast also had plenty of choices. The location is excellent, just a few meters from Michigan Avenue and the 360 ​​Chicago observation deck. I'd definitely come back.

I was upgraded, which was a nice surprise, and the hotel has good rooms, prices, and views. The staff can seem reserved, even cold or unfriendly, but in my experience they weren't rude. I'd stay again and recommend the place. Just don't expect super smiley service, here or at most places in Chicago.

We arrived very early in the morning after an international flight, and Cheryc at the front desk made everything feel easy. She was welcoming, kind, and professional, and helped us settle in without stress. Her warmth and attention to detail were a real example of good hospitality. The Whitehall Hotel is comfortable, welcoming, and well located, but Cheryc's care is what made the stay exceptional. She's a real asset and deserves special recognition. We'd happily stay again and recommend The Whitehall Hotel to anyone visiting Chicago.

The staff and service are fantastic, and the food is better than what I've had at restaurants charging three times as much. The location is unbelievable. It's become my Chicago go-to, even after stays at two Marriotts and a Hyatt. They can't touch this place, and I don't understand why there's no wait list to get in. It's an older hotel, but clean and well kept, with comfy beds. The only shortcoming I can name is that the bedside outlets are regular plugs rather than USB ports. Don't let the low nightly price put you off.
