We’d already like to plan another visit, but in warmer weather. Our February trip from Texas was a cold one, and this place turned out to be a total gem in the heart of Lincoln Park. We were looking for a Chicago hotel or boutique with character, and the decor was beautiful and inviting. The location made it easy to walk or take a short ride to lots of attractions. Don and Gina were wonderful hosts, easy to reach by text and often around in person. Their care and attention made the stay so good. The stocked, help-yourself kitchen and delicious breakfast choices were magnificent. A welcome video was a great extra: it showed the whole property and our room, and explained how to use the doors, appliances, elevator, fire pit, fireplace, and hot tub. Thanks for making our first Chicago trip so memorable. S, J and J.

Villa D’ Citta in Lincoln Park was a comfortable, clean stay, and the rooms matched what I’d seen on the website. My son studies at DePaul, and they kindly offered him a discounted separate room for one night before his last final so he wouldn’t have to stay in an empty dorm. Getting around was easy: DePaul is a short walk away, with cute shopping and dining streets nearby and the Red, Brown, and Purple CTA lines convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was outstanding. I had bacon with a veggie egg scramble and a ham-and-cheese egg tortilla wrap. There was homemade banana bread too, plus a fully stocked kitchen where you could make sandwiches, take fresh fruit, fill a cannoli, or try Italian ice cream. The lemon and watermelon flavors were my favorites. I plan to come back, and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting DePaul or Lincoln Park.

The townhouse is spotless and in a perfect spot for Old Town, Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park, and the Gold Coast. The owners are helpful, and everyone is so nice. We love staying here, especially for the home-cooked breakfast. Gina’s banana bread is especially delicious.

We had a great birthday stay at The Villa. The Lincoln Park area is awesome, our room was great, and the hosts were friendly and easy to reach by text. Valet service worked flawlessly. We especially enjoyed sitting outside with a complimentary glass of wine and some Italian cheese. Gina put together a lovely breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, granola, juice, and more. We’re already figuring out when to come back.

Don and Gina have created a lovely experience at the villa. It’s in Lincoln Park near restaurants and great shopping, and the enclosed brick patio with flowers made me feel like I was in Italy. The Italian decor is upscale, with comfortable beds and well-appointed bedrooms. The food and atmosphere were exceptional, and Gina’s warm, welcoming hospitality stood out, especially at the hearty Italian breakfast she or another host serves. Highly recommend it when you’re in the Chicagoland area.
