I’m staying here for work in Childress and it’s been a fantastic experience. The property managers always give me a warm welcome, which helps when I’m away from home. My room has consistently been exceptionally clean, and the cleaning staff are very nice. The bed and pillows are comfortable, too. I’d definitely recommend it.

The desk staff were very pleasant, and the location is good, but the facilities need maintenance and the Motel 6 needs renovation. There were crickets in the rooms and hair in the supposedly clean shower. The deadbolt didn’t work, the safety latch was broken, and the room’s fire detector was wrapped in plastic and taped over. It felt scary staying there.

There was no hot water. When a staff member came, they said it only gets warm because they don’t want guests to get burned. The tub wouldn’t drain while I was trying to shower, and the staff member never came back to clear it.

People were fairly friendly, but the rooms were very basic. There was soap but no shampoo, and the shower filled faster than it drained. The rooms look modern, but it feels like lipstick on a pig. Definitely a two-star hotel.

The location worked well for a one-night stop, and the room was spacious and clean. But the A/C needs fixing. Whenever the compressor kicked on, it sounded like a farm tractor running in the room.
