I rated this Days Inn zero stars, but the site makes you choose at least one. We checked in and left the same day for personal reasons. The clerk told my husband the refund would show up the next day, but it never came. I called the manager, who said she'd look into our complaint. A week later she was still checking, and when I asked when it would be resolved, she hung up. I called back and she hung up again. I'll never stay here again; I'd rather pay twice as much at Comfort Inn. The room was large and clean, but very dim, with two dim wall sconces and one dim lamp. We also couldn't get Wi-Fi in the room because of where it was located.

Breakfast stayed well stocked, and the workers were friendly and polite. Ciera in the office gave us nothing but a positive experience. When my partner had a medical episode in the middle of the night and needed something to settle his stomach, Cierra kindly helped us even though it was outside breakfast hours. The room was clean, bug-free, neutral-smelling, and had a soft bed. We're happy with our stay and would come back when we're in the Chillicothe area.
The daytime front desk attendant was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. I also appreciated getting a free room upgrade. They charged one pet fee for the whole two-night stay instead of charging it per night. There are lots of small, inexpensive things they could do to make the guest experience better.
After our friend found the stairs too difficult, we asked the next morning whether a first-floor room was available. We'd originally booked a second-floor room for four nights and arrived late, with check-in going smoothly. The clerk asked if anything was wrong with the room, and we explained it was only the stairs. She kindly moved us at no extra charge. The rest of the stay was quiet, well kept, and free of issues. Breakfast was fresh, with cereal, biscuits and gravy, fruit, Belgian waffles, coffee, milk, and yogurt. The room and desk clerk were both very nice and accommodating. We'll stay here again.
At checkout we tried to talk to the receptionist about our room, but the person in the office behind the desk ignored us, even though they could hear us. We called out three times and rang the bell three times, then had to leave without being able to raise our concerns. The room was in terrible shape. It was supposed to be smoke-free, but smelled strongly of drugs, which made it very uncomfortable. The bathroom was extremely dirty: hair filled the bathtub, and the sink and toilet were not clean. It was obvious the room hadn't been properly cleaned before we arrived. This was one of our worst hotel experiences and left us with a very negative impression.
