Hampton Inn Clarks Summit

We arrived around midnight with a toddler and our other children, and the staff made things easy. A pack and play was already set up in the room, so we could transfer the little one straight over. Our youngest was sick, and Teresa (I think that was her name) brought yogurt for mixing medicine into it and offered water and anything else we needed. We felt supported and welcome. I’d recommend it to families travelling.

I won’t stay here again, even as a Diamond Member. They wouldn’t give me a military discount because I wasn’t on orders, and management chose to stick to policy instead of doing right by a guest. That’s plain and simple.

The morning vanilla maple waffle was great, and the cleaning service was top notch. Bob at the front desk gave five-star service.

The room was exceptionally clean, and I didn’t see anything gross anywhere. It was one of the better hotel stays I’ve had, and I’d book again without hesitation. Bob was the reason we booked. I called beforehand to check whether the pool and hot tub were operating, and he explained the hotel’s highlights so well that he sold us on it. When we arrived, Theresa greeted us with cold water and cookies, then got us extra pillows when we asked. The pool and hot tub were clean and well kept, and their 8a-10p hours gave us plenty of time to use them. The place also had thoughtful details. Emergency signs included the hotel address, and audio impaired rooms had a button outside to alert people inside that someone was knocking. Breakfast ran until 10a. We came down around 945a, and my kids are slow, but a staff member offered to make potatoes for us even if that meant working after breakfast closed. I declined, but was impressed by the offer. Before cleaning up, staff gave us a last call for anything else and checked before shutting things down. We stayed Saturday and left Sunday, and everything was great.
