Spark by Hilton Clarks Summit

We ended up staying an extra day because an unexpected little snowstorm lasted longer than planned. The desk made it easy to get another room and check in right away. The location is close to everything, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. From the moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming. The lobby had a nice atmosphere, pretty colors, and comfortable furniture, and getting to the rooms and breakfast area was easy. We stay at a lot of hotels, and this is going to be one of my favorites. We’ll be back!

For us, it was a convenient, clean, cheap place to sleep before getting back on the road. We only stayed around 10 hours, and the room was quiet, with comfortable beds and pillows and a good temperature. There was a stale smell when we arrived, but it cleared quickly once we turned on the AC. It’s a budget hotel, the lowest tier of the Hilton chain, with a basic continental breakfast and few amenities. The front desk staff were welcoming and offered us a beverage since there was no welcome bag.

The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the fairly high pet fee, though it covered the whole stay. Many places charge it by the day. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean, staff were friendly, and the breakfast bar had lots of choices and was well stocked. I don’t understand the poor reviews, since it was better than I expected from a budget hotel.

The room was clean, the public areas were clean, and the bed was comfortable. It cost $87 for the night and did the job, giving me a good sleep before heading home. The location was great. My only complaint is the single-ply toilet paper.
