Chisholm Inn & Suites

We stayed last night for a getaway, and the king whirlpool suite was filthy. The carpet clearly hadn't been vacuumed for ages, there were dirty Q tips on the counter, and the sink was disgusting. The towels were down to very cheap linen, and we got only two. The smell was awful, and the room felt close to 80 degrees. It took forever to cool down. Breakfast was disgusting too. I'm very disappointed and won't stay here again. That was a sharp change from my stays in 2023 and 2024. Back then, the rooms were always clean and smelled good, the bathrooms had plenty of toiletries, and the family I assumed lived on the property were kind and quick to help. They made us feel welcome and went out of their way for us more than once. I never saw the pool open, but the atmosphere made up for it. There was always a breakfast area with coffee in nice cups and snacks, plus a good spread of quality hot and cold food.

I paid in full for three rooms, though in the end we didn't use them. When the front desk called around 9:30 about check-in, I said we weren't coming and told the woman she could give the rooms to someone else. She got mad for some reason, said, "Well its a little late for that," and hung up. I called back to ask why she'd spoken to me that way, and she was just as rude again. Bad service. They've lost my business in the future, though it sounds like she wouldn't care.

Clean and comfortable, and a very nice hotel. I was disappointed to find they'd removed the pool and hot tub.

Breakfast was good every morning. The hotel air conditioning was freezing, though, and the parking lot and sidewalk are in bad repair, making them especially dangerous for older people. The rooms are very old and run down, with an old, musty smell.
