Ayres Hotel San Diego South - Chula Vista

We stayed four days and had a comfortable visit. The breakfast was great, and the people working there were really friendly. We travel from Wisconsin every year for a convention, and we’ll definitely stay at this location again.

Anita at reception made a great impression. She’s always smiling, welcoming, and seems to genuinely care about helping people. She made me feel at ease and looked after from the moment I walked in. The hotel itself is modern, new, and very clean, and I enjoyed my stay.

The smell on the hotel floors is so nice. I have no idea what air freshener they use, but it really does smell good. My wife, our two little girls, and I love staying at Ayres Hotel. It’s close to restaurants, a movie theater, and shops, and the staff are so nice that our family feels right at home.

The only thing we needed that wasn’t available was a rubber mat for the slightly slippery bathtub. Aside from that, our two-night stay was great. We chose Ayres Hotel for its location near the N,I,C,U, Amphitheater before seeing Billy Idol, and we’d stay here again when we’re in the area. The staff across the front desk, breakfast area, and housekeeping were welcoming and did a great job. The property and our spacious room were clean and quiet. We used the pool and jacuzzi, and breakfast was made to order. There were lots of outlets in the room for USB cords, plus outlets around the lobby seating. The hotel also has EV chargers, plenty of accessible parking, outdoor seating, a gym, laundry on every floor, ice machines on the second and fourth floors, barbecues by the pool, free breakfast, and pets are allowed. It’s a no-smoking property.
