I ended up at the Executive Inn across the road and got much better service and a room in under five minutes. I hadn't paid yet, thankfully, but I'd taken a whole day off work to come to Cisco for my school Homecoming, and the way this was handled was awful. I won't stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I'd stayed here over the summer and had a good experience. This trip mattered to me because it fell on the anniversary of my grandmother's passing. She worked here for two years under the previous owners, so staying here was meant as a tribute. I called the day before and asked for a particular kind of room. They said it was no problem, then called me back because they thought I was arriving that day. We cleared that up, or so I thought. At the desk the next day, after I'd filled in the card and shown my ID, the woman said they didn't have that room and sent me to the Executive Inn. I pointed out the note with my name, phone number, and room details, right in front of her. After I waited several minutes and told the staff in the back I'd go elsewhere, a man offered a completely different room, but said they'd need a few minutes to get it ready. When a guest calls ahead, that seems like plenty of time to prepare a room. I told him I was done and he just replied, “Ok, that's fine.” I work in customer service, and that was horrible service. At work there's a sign with a picture of Sam Walton saying the customer is the boss and can fire a company by spending elsewhere. They acted as if losing a customer didn't matter.

The main problem was the booking. The desk attendant didn't want to honor the Expedia reservation and rate I'd made, and tried to charge more. They eventually agreed to the rate, but I had to accept one king bed instead of the room with two queens I'd booked. The bathroom wasn't usable for me. The shower head sprayed water all over, though I was only there for the night. The sink was in good shape. The room itself had a bed and couch that need replacing, and the linens could use an update too. They seem to have made some improvements, including fresh paint and vinyl floors where there used to be carpet. It's about what you'd expect from a roadside motel.

Even my ride or die dog was miserable in that oppressive heat, so I pulled off 20 and stopped at this place while trying to get out of town. I had no particular destination in mind, just wanted to get away. The owners were so kind. I interrupted their family dinner, and they still checked that I was okay, gave me ice cold water, and had a sparkling clean room cooled down for us. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. 🙏

I’d just driven in from Nevada and planned to stay two nights. There were lots of ants by the door and along its frame before we even entered the room. Inside, my grandchild spotted a cricket right away, then another one. We asked for a refund because we were absolutely not going to stay. The refund was flatly refused to me and my son, who had paid by card. I don't recommend staying here.

I couldn't get past the bathroom door without squeezing through, and the heater shut off after ten minutes and wouldn't come back on. The shower leaked across the floor, so we had to spread towels everywhere. The room smelled so bad that I sprayed body spray around to try to improve it. There were stains all over the sheets and carpet, and my husband and I slept fully dressed because we felt so grossed out. I usually stay in $15 hostels and don't mind cheap road trip places if I can get a bed and shower. This was another level of disgusting. The first thing we saw was a pile of old, squashed grapes beside the bed and bedside table, like nobody had cleaned there in ages. There were feral cats and trash around the property too. There was no service, and I couldn't complain because the staff spoke almost no English, just the bare minimum. I can't speak for every room, but I'd guess they're all the same. This place is a literal joke.
