Best Western Plus Red River Inn

Steve, the manager, came by during breakfast to ask how our stay was and thank us for choosing the hotel. He was really pleasant. It’s rare to see that kind of local management these days. The front desk staff were all amazing, they honored our room preferences, and we slept well in a comfortable bed and quiet room. Breakfast was good, with healthy choices, and I loved the espresso machine with all its delicious options. Highly recommend!

We’d read the reviews while on the road and expected this to be a good place to stay. The staff were great, but the night was rough. Truckers’ “jake brakes” kept us awake, and the bed was much too soft. The room smelled like “stinky feet.” The sheets were cream-colored rather than white, and felt rough and gritty, like sandpaper. Even the rubber shower mat was that same color. Another bust for us.

The bed and cleanliness were both very good. What stood out beyond that was how well the property was cared for, from the beautiful artwork along the first-floor hallway to the lovely Christmas decorations. Those details showed the attention put into the place. Best hotel of this caliber I’ve stayed in.

The breakfast didn’t disappoint, and the woman working in the kitchen kept on top of things like the coffee instead of putting it out and leaving it. My room was clean and really large, too. Check-in set the tone. The front desk woman was pleasant and efficient, and it was clear the people here care and go the extra mile. I was very impressed with everything about this hotel in such a small town, especially that attentive kitchen staff member.
