Quality Inn Clarksdale

The room change didn't solve things. The mattress in the second room was cleaner, but I saw five ants, three on the bed, one on the wall, and one on the nightstand. We were too tired to move again and barely slept. I tried to reach a manager the next morning, but had no luck. We'd checked the beds because I'd read about bedbugs at the hotel. The brown bed skirts had strange white stains, the sheets didn't smell clean, and under the bed cover was a disgusting mark on the mattress. When I brought this up, I had to ask the attendant to get out of his chair. He made fun of how I asked, then said he was “playing with me.” He inspected the room and said the mark was from “chemicals” used two days earlier. He understood why we were concerned and moved us, but this was one of the worst stays. The hallways smelled like weed and Black & Milds, too. Please be aware.

The curtains stop about a foot above the bottom of the window, so I guess people can watch me sleep tonight. Inside, the bathtub and shower were dirty and busted, and there was no shower curtain. The pictures and nightstands had stains on them.

People were outside our window playing music really loud, the toilet was clogged, and parts of the walls were missing. Worst experience of my life.

I was comfortable until breakfast, though the hotel felt a little musty. A big guy who worked there played YouTube loudly the whole time I was eating, then laughed loudly and kept disrupting the room. I couldn't relax, and that ruined my morning. This would've been four stars otherwise.
