The host worked around our schedule and requests and was very accommodating. My family came to Clarksville to see a local landmark built by our ancestors, and we stayed together at the BnB in three rooms. It was lovely to share such a beautiful home. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch swings in the evenings and listening to the courthouse clock tower bells. The beds were comfortable.

The caretaker met me at the door when I arrived in the evening and moved me to the governor suite since I was the only guest that night. She came back the next morning and made me a hot breakfast. I slept well. Some rooms have Jacuzzi baths, and much of the furniture is antique pieces. It's a truly great place to stay.

Perry made breakfast delicious and was so kind and accommodating, going out of his way to help guests have a great stay. The old house is charming, with exquisite decorations and furnishings, and the updated bathrooms make it comfortable and relaxing. I wish I could spend a night in every room. For the price, the experience is an excellent value. Highly recommend!

Our late arrival on 15 Oct at the start of a two-week vacation was easy to manage: the owners or their representative communicated well, and left a note and key at the door. The historic house is beautiful, though keeping a structure that large immaculate inside and out must be a challenge. Our room was adequate and clean, but there were signs of incomplete cleaning elsewhere, including dirty dishes and laundry in the kitchen. The person who normally provides breakfast didn't show up, so we left without it. Since breakfast is a big part of a B&B, that was disappointing. We got a partial discount. The stay was okay, but could have been better.

The house feels like a trip back to Clarksville's glory days in 1881, when it was built by the richest guy in town. There's beautiful woodwork throughout, plus great bathrooms and a gleaming kitchen Perry has installed. We slept like babies and left full after Perry's excellent breakfast, with four kinds of fresh fruit and everything else you'd expect. Perry's a very genial host. Thanks again, Perry.
