My Apple Watch disappeared from the room while I was out. I’d left it charging, and housekeeping was the only one in there that day. My “Find My” app showed it three blocks away before it was turned off, so I can only conclude that someone took it. Days later, the hotel called to say they’d found an Apple Watch in the parking garage and sent me a photo. It wasn’t mine. It seemed like someone had panicked after hearing police were involved and left a different stolen watch to cover their tracks, but that’s just how it felt to me. I filed a police report and an incident report, then waited for the hotel’s insurance carrier. For SIX MONTHS, there was silence unless I chased them week after week. Their final answer was that the claim was denied, with “No negligence.” Unreal. I’d already replaced the $300 watch, so this wasn’t about getting the money back. It’s about no one taking responsibility and a guest’s property disappearing from a room that’s supposed to be secure, with zero accountability. I’ve traveled enough to know an honest mistake from what I see as outright negligence. This was unacceptable and infuriating. If you care about your belongings, your time, or your sanity, stay somewhere else.

The room was immaculate, and there were plenty of luggage carts. Rachel was professional and courteous, and sent me a digital key when I asked. After the long drive, that made a real difference. She also gave me Pepsid Ac TUM free of charge. The next morning, Veronica called me and arranged maintenance for a clogged shower. She also had a friendly room service attendant tidy the room, restock towels and toilet paper, make the bed, and clean the toilet. 9Feb2026.

We won’t stay here next time we’re in town. The beds felt like concrete, the room was warm at 76 degrees throughout the stay even with the thermostat set to 70 and the fan on high, and the shower gel was empty, so I had to use the sink’s hand soap. There were paint chips too, and the room felt like it hadn’t been updated in 40 years. Pretty disappointing.

The common areas were the cleanest I think I’ve seen at a Hampton in years. It’s in a safe area, and the staff were excellent: professional, friendly, and positive. Their quality felt like something I’d expect to pay much more for.

The rooms were clean, the staff were fine, and the breakfast was what you’d expect from a standard three-star hotel. There’s a bar just off the lobby and restaurants only a few minutes away on foot. I’d stay here again. The breakfast attendant does a great job, so leave her a few bucks. Reviews from people who’ve only written a few can be a poor guide to this hotel.
