Wooden Boat Inn

This is my second stay, and it's been fabulous both times. I can't say enough about the whole experience whenever I come. The host is the best I've ever had, and I've stayed at many other places.

The Wooden Boat Inn turned out to be exactly what we needed, though we hadn't known it. We laughed our way through the Schitt’s Creek-themed room, then enjoyed the cozy screened-in porch with coffee and tea, plus the charming outdoor patio. Our Montreal plans fell apart, but finding Clayton and landing at Pia’s place felt like fate, right down to the flannel. Cute, clean, quiet, and more comfortable than expected. Pia has hospitality down to a science.

Pia's hospitality was next level, and my mom and I had the perfect stay for a couple of nights. The newly finished spaces are stunning. Pia, the owner, showed us the empty rooms too, and each had lovely decor and its own theme. There's also a warmly decorated, welcoming outdoor area with a fire pit. We'd recommend the place to anyone stopping in Clayton. We liked it enough that we're already planning another visit just to stay here. Thank you, Pia!

We stayed in the green room, which was adorable and cozy, and the back patio with grills was just right for dinner. The location is great too: the river, restaurants, and ice cream are all a 5-10 minute walk away. Pia, the owner, was incredibly helpful. My cell reception wasn't strong enough to book online, so she helped me complete the reservation by phone on the 4th of July. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book here again if we're back in Clayton.
