The high rating and photos gave me the wrong impression, so I feel I should warn other travelers. I was there for the last three nights, and I travel a lot, around 10-12 trips a year. For about $600, the stay wasn't close to worth it. I loved Clearwater Beach itself, including the restaurants, shops, and people elsewhere, but I'd stay somewhere else next time. There are too many better options nearby. The bed was awful, like sleeping on a brick. The room also didn't seem properly cleaned before I checked in: there were soap rings or residue in the bathroom that looked like they were from a previous guest, small holes near the top of the shower curtain that looked like moth holes, and old coffee stains on the desk. Housekeeping was a struggle. I had to ask once, then ask again on the second day, when I was told I'd initialed an agreement at check-in to have no housekeeping for something like three days or three nights. If that's the policy, it should be clearly disclosed upfront. People are tired at check-in and may just initial where they're told so they can get to their room. That's a poor way to communicate a major service change, especially at this price.

We had a good stay, and being able to walk to everything was a big plus. The place is showing its age, but it was very clean, with fresh towels and daily maid service. The queen bed and pillows were soft. A solid, budget-friendly option in Clearwater Beach.

The price was right, especially for two days in such an expensive area, and we left with fond memories of this charming boutique hotel. It has a nostalgic feel, friendly service, clean, simple rooms with a big-screen TV, a nice bathroom, and good room amenities. The catering staff was wonderful, and we appreciated the front desk information about local places to visit. Frankly, I couldn't have asked for better.

The location was the only good part of this hotel. I had asked for a quiet downstairs room with two beds, but got a third-floor room beside the pools with just a queen bed. The Wi-Fi never worked during my three-day stay, and whenever I asked, I got some random excuse. I couldn't use my tablet or laptop at all. The TV only got channels now and then, and the picture was distorted when it did. I asked to switch rooms and was told they were full, but the made beds and open blinds in rooms along the balconies made it look like some were empty.

The room smelled awful when we arrived. The front desk woman came to check after I reported it, then sent her “guy” in with a spray bottle. He sprayed it three times and that was all. The staff member acted like she needed to see for herself before believing me, as if I would make that up. The place also feels more like a motel than a hotel, and the photos are misleading. Rooms are very dated, the TV is small and not smart, internet is terrible, and channel choices are limited. Loose outlets wouldn't hold the plug, which kept falling out. My mother's CPAP kept shutting off the air she needed at night. Horrible stay, and I wouldn't return.
