John at the front desk made check-in go smoothly, and Rick, the fun and personable valet, greeted us with a smile and offered to take us wherever we needed. Every front desk person was wonderful. They all had great personalities and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, which turned a bad situation into a really good experience. I’m surprised they have so many consistently good people on staff, since usually one or two are nice and the rest just okay. The Fairfield Inn & suites by Marriott is close to the beach and a short walk from great restaurants. It was super clean, and people greeted us with things like “welcome back,” “how was your day,” and “good morning,” just what you’d expect from a Marriott. I hadn’t realized where the property was. My Airbnb rental didn’t work out, so I ended up here and was glad I did. I can’t wait to return. Well done, that was a Marriott experience.

I especially liked the golf cart shuttle at this hotel. Victoria made the ride a great experience: she was friendly, welcoming, easy to talk to, and answered all our questions about the area. It’s in a great location, and we’ll use this hotel again next time we’re nearby.

Our room was spacious and ready even though we arrived well before check-in, which we really appreciated. The hotel is a little outdated, but clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our two-night stay. Free breakfast in the morning is a nice bonus. They also offer a golf cart ride to nearby restaurants. Just keep in mind the hotel isn’t close to the beach, so don’t expect an ocean view.

Our king room was very nice and clean, and the hotel was a good place to stay overall. The complimentary drop-off and pick-up service to and from Clearwater Beach, within 0.5 miles of the hotel, was a bonus. My only suggestion is to bring the valet-only parking charge down to around $15.00-$20.00 instead of $35.00 plus tax per night.

The location is fantastic for the beach, Mandalay strip restaurants, and pickleball. They’ll shuttle you to Hogans, saving about 1/2 mile of walking when you need it. Parking is valet only at $35, so we check parking costs before choosing a hotel. The staff at this Fairfi ld are engaging and incredibly friendly, from the front desk and breakfast crew to the valets and housekeepers. Shurla, Cecil, and Johnny T. were great. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, especially the suites, and the AC works well. It was nice having a shower instead of a tub.
