Opal Sands Resort

The food and service make this beautiful place even better. The dishes at Sea-Guini were fresh, coastal-inspired, and beautifully presented, and casual bites by the water were good too. Cocktails are expertly made for sipping by the pool. The wait staff are amazing. Opal Sands Resort & Spa has a sophisticated but welcoming feel, with elegant contemporary design. Its spot on the Gulf feels private while still being in the heart of everything. Thanks to the curved architecture, every room has a floor-to-ceiling ocean view. Waking up to the turquoise water or watching sunset from your private balcony makes it feel like the ocean is part of the room. If you want a beach getaway or the pinnacle of relaxation on Clearwater Beach, I can’t recommend it enough.

We picked Opal Sands Resort for our babymoon and had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and modern, with a great ocean view from the balcony, and the staff throughout the property were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive. The resort is beautiful and right on Clearwater Beach, so it felt like a getaway as soon as we arrived. We ate at the restaurants on property, and every meal was excellent. The atmosphere made it easy to relax without leaving the resort. I also had a superb prenatal massage at the spa. The therapist was knowledgeable and made it incredibly relaxing, just what you want on a babymoon. My husband was a little disappointed that the spa doesn’t have amenities like a sauna, steam room, or hot tub, which are typically part of the spa experience at resorts like this. It didn’t affect my experience since I’m pregnant and couldn’t use those anyway. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend Opal Sands for a relaxing beachfront getaway.

We had such a wonderful stay at Opal sands, me and my husband with our two little kids. We had a king suite with plenty of space and everything the four of us needed, including a crib. There were extra towels in the drawers, and toiletries were replenished before we got back after dinner. The beach was just a few steps away and so clean, with sand so soft it felt like flour. The pools were heated, which was key for swimming since it was chillier than normal. All the restaurants we tried were incredible: Drift, seaguini and toast. We enjoyed seafood pasta, pizza, short rib and grouper, and the kids loved their menu options too. The cafe market was handy for quick smoothies or bowls on the go.

The staff were great and the rooms were really nice, spacious, and clean. I came for a business conference. The food was amazing, especially considering most things were served buffet style. The meats were juicy and not overcooked, which was very surprising. Staff were friendly, and the bed slept good when I was able to actually sleep lol. The drinks seemed a bit lacking on the spiritz. I’d come back, the price was worth it.
