Sandpearl Resort

Caretta's was fabulous, and the food there was very good. We had most of our lunches at Tates, which was good too. Ella Blue at the Caretta bar/lounge gave great service, as did Victory (Vicky) with the evening turndown and Lydia and Rosalia at the lobby entrance. They were professional and helpful. We also appreciated the many kind, respectful, classy staff and guests. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. We would come back and recommend the hotel if the cost works for you. The hotel itself is beautiful, with plenty of high-end services and features, but prices seemed at the very top compared with other Clearwater Beach hotels. The mandatory $42 valet fee is excessive, and the resort fee doesn’t cover a beach umbrella, which costs another $30 per day. There’s a long walk from the chairs and umbrellas to the water, around 50-75 yards. The stretch from the hotel chairs to the beach is open to the public, so it isn’t a private beach as the hotel advertises. With the daily fees plus state and local hotel taxes, staying at Sandpearl gets very expensive. The gym was fine for a workout, though none of the ellipticals, bikes, or jogging machines had working TVs or sound, so bring your own entertainment. We used a nearby Publix for groceries and church, but needed a car or hotel shuttle to get there. Countryside, the closest mall, was about 25 minutes away and worth the drive. It had Macy's Dillards, Cheescake Factory, BJ's, and other restaurants.

The staff made the stay for me. Whether I was by the pool, at the restaurant, or walking through the lobby, service was smooth, warm, and thoughtful. They went out of their way in a way that felt natural. The Sandpearl in Clearwater, Florida is a beautiful property, but the people and their care are what really set it apart. I left feeling relaxed and appreciated, and I’m already looking forward to returning. I had an amazing visit from the moment I arrived and will definitely be back.

Lucy and Valentina made our stay memorable with how kind, professional, and welcoming they were. My boyfriend and I had such a good time with his mother, and it was just the right setting. I can’t wait to come back, and I’ll be sending my parents there soon. Thank you!

Getting here and unloading was easy, and valet took the stress out of arrival. The resort is nice, with an easy walk to the beach and shops along the way to Pier 60. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and cheerful. I’d recommend it.
